Action Research

This guide for classroom action research was created by teachers for teachers. The resources here were designed to support reflective and systematic improvement of teaching.

Use the tabs at the top of the pages to explore the stages of action research.

The box with a list on the left side of the page will navigate you through the materials within each stage of action research.

The filmstrip images on the right side of each page are links to video clips related to the topic. The gray area on the right also has links to tools and other materials, such as graphic organizers, printables and templates for use in an action research project.

This guide was developed though the support of the College of Education and Human Services at the University of North Florida and the Northeast Florida Science, Technology, and Mathematics Center for Education.

Guidebook developed spring 2005 by: Gena Casas, Colette Cook, Chris Hogan, Katie Howard, Donna Thompson, Silvia Tolisano, Michele Watterson, Kenneth Whitten.

Project coordinator: Terence Cavanaugh
