Math,
Science, and Engineering Summer Camp at UNF 2006
For gifted and high achieving students
entering 7th, 8th and 9th grade in Northeast
Florida schools. The summer camp was offered in 2006 by the
University of North Florida and
sponsored
by the UNF Foundation, the Florida Department of Education, and the Governor’s Summer Camp Program.
The camp is a collaboration among the Departments of Mathematics and
Statistics, Chemistry, Engineering, and Curriculum and Instruction.

About the
camp
The camp is a two-week
intensive experience in mathematics and science for gifted and high achieving
students in Duval, Clay and St. Johns county schools.
Students work with
university faculty using university labs and other facilities on challenging
mathematics, engineering and chemistry activities.
